Hi! guys!
I've encounter this wired situation, I have setup 2 language(Chinese and English) for my dialogue database.
most of the display name works fine except 1 specific actor, when I was in English mode that actor on the name bar will still show its chinese name.
I try to figure out which field it used, so I add some mark context for each of the display name and name field(etc: John -> John_DisplayNameENG). After I add the mark it, it suddenly fixed as the name bar shows the english display name with the mark context.
I then try with different combination of Name and Display Name field, turns out if I add any character after the origin Name field, I get to use display name correctly(etc: John -> Johnt)
So my workaround here is to add one more character to the Name field. but it dosen't seem reliable right? is there a reason or explaination for causing this problem?
Display Name won't show correctly on certain actor
Re: Display Name won't show correctly on certain actor
Hi,
I recommend only one "Name" field. For localization, use "Display Name" and "Display Name LN", where LN is the language:
If it's set up like that already, make sure the field name doesn't have any blank spaces at the beginning or end.

Hi Tony!
I tried your way and remove the localization field for Name, and keep only localization for display name, but it still display the wrong one.
here's the origin set up for my database(the origin wrong one):
Name-Text-'Crowd'
Name ENG-Localization-'Crowd'
Name CHT-Localization-'群眾'
Display Name-Text-'Crowd'
Display Name ENG-Localization-'Crowd'
Display Name CHT-Localization-'群眾'
here's how I make it work:
Name-Text-'Crowd t' <---add t at the end that helped me switch to localized display name
Name ENG-Localization-'Crowd'
Name CHT-Localization-'群眾'
Display Name-Text-'Crowd'
Display Name ENG-Localization-'Crowd'
Display Name CHT-Localization-'群眾'
here's what you suggest, but didin't work out:
Name-Text-'Crowd'
Display Name-Text-'Crowd'
Display Name ENG-Localization-'Crowd'
Display Name CHT-Localization-'群眾'
