I just tested it and it seems that running barks from Adventure Creator interactions doesn't take priority into account (or I did something wrong ).
I have two barks one set to priority 10 and the second one set to 5 and they are interrupting each other.

You didn't do anything wrong. I accidentally inserted a last-minute bug into the priority code in version 1.6.6.3 It's fixed in a patch available on the customer download site and will be in the next release on the Asset Store. I PM'ed you access information for the customer download site.
