Localization import

Post by SealDev »

"If you tick the checkbox next to a language in the Languages list, the Import... button will also import any changes you have made to that language file's main text, not just the language translations."

I do not understand this statement from the documentation. (1.png)
How do I make sure that I only import German, new translation / changes?

I want to avoid replacing any original English text.

Hi,

Keep the checkboxes UNticked, as shown in your screenshot (1.png).

"If you change or remove a conversation's dialogue entries before importing again, the translation may not find the correct dialogue entries to update their translations. You can add new dialogue entries or new conversations without any issues."

What happens if I delete a couple of dialogue lines from past conversations, and then import a translation I exported in the past when that same dialogue had more lines?

Will, at the very least all other conversations update properly? Or will it screw up the order of everything?

No, that's fine. It will import the translations that it can.
