Character sprite appears small before character talks?

Post by Kitsunelaine »

Hey there! I'm new to using this and I'm figuring things out (Also making my first game, lol). So I'm using the VN template on the Evaliuation build while learning how to use this asset. I'm trying to script a cutscene and I can't seem to get around character sprites being weird.

If I start a conversation where I want just the player character on the left and nothing on the right, and then for the conservant to appear after the first line, the sprite appears, but tiny and dulled out.

Like so:

When I proceed to the next line, it goes full size;

I can't figure out how to properly start a conversation with a "null" conservant, so that I can have either side of the screen blank and have a character wander in. This is inconvenient for me when I'm writing cutscenes and such. I've tried assigning a specifically null conservant to get around this issue, but it hasn't seemed to work. What am I doing wrong?

Cheers,

Hi Elaine,

I haven't seen that issue before, but please try this: Inspect your dialogue UI's Subtitle Panel 0. Change the Visibility dropdown to Always Once Shown.
