Conversation multiple players avatars

Post by thecodehermit »

Hi. I am having a slight issue with having multiple main characters in one conversation. I have 2 main characters (Hermit and Cleo) and one npc (Shroomer). I want to have both Hermit and Cleo be able to participate in the conversation at specific points. I guess.. I achieved that, however I cant seem to get the avatars to show up properly. The main character avatar stays always the one of the actor I have assigned at the main conversation options. When I reach the point where Cleo should talk I get Hermit's avatar instead.
I am using "Old School Standard Dialogue UI" just for test stuff out. I am planning to make my own UI later on.

Hi,

Inspect the (Old School Standard Dialogue UI's) Standard Dialogue UI component. In the Conversation UI Elements foldout, tick Use First Response For Menu Portrait.

Glad to help! The Dialogue System, and dialogue UIs in particular, have lots of options tucked away in inspectors, so don't hesitate to ask if you can't find what you're looking for.
