Issues re-importing a .csv

Hi there,

So I'm exporting my items and quest as a .csv, making a bunch of edits and trying to bring it back in.

Problem is, on import the entries are there but all the data is missing, no Name, display name, state etc. All gone.

The .csv looks fine, what have I likely done wrong?

Hi,

Before you merge 'Importer' into your main database, do the items in 'Importer' look correct?

If I open up the importer in Dialogue editor it's broken in there too. So something must be going wrong on convert?

That's certainly what it sounds like.

If you export from Unity and then immediately import that unedited file, does it import properly?

If it does, then some edit is breaking the CSV format.

I sent my .csv but I think I've determined it's Excel that's mangling it somehow. If I create the same data changes in Google Sheets it works.

Can you compare the output of Excel and Google Sheets? (Only if you care to figure out what Excel's doing wrong. If you're happy using Sheets, no need to follow up.) https://www.diffchecker.com/ is a useful tool.
