Variables are not rewritten with AC bridge?

Post by Amber »

Hello!

Been using for a while and having a blast so far!
Recently, I've came across variables not rewritting from AC to DS. I'm pretty sure it worked well in the past. I've set up the sync setting to copy AC variables to DS and back.
Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
Thanks!

Hi,

Are there any errors or warnings in the Console window?

The sync option will only sync DS variables back to AC variables that already exist. Make sure an equivalent variable already exists in AC.

At the time that a conversation ends and hasn't synced the DS variable values back to AC, pause the editor's play mode. Inspect the Dialogue Manager GameObject. Does it have the AC Bridge component, and are the sync settings correct? By default, at runtime the Dialogue Manager GameObject survives scene changes and supplants any Dialogue Manager that was in the newly-loaded scene at design time. If you're changing scenes, it's possible that an earlier Dialogue Manager (perhaps without the bridge component) has survived into your current scene.
