Carriage returns as separate lines ?

Hi, I'm using DS with articy, and I find that I waste a lot of time just creating nodes.

It would be interesting to have an option to treat every paragraph spoke by the same character as a different line, is there an option to do this ? (like adventure creator has ?). For the moment I'm not concerned about specific sequences for each paragraph.

Thanks !

Hi,

The Dialogue System's articy converter implements a feature from Chat Mapper that articy doesn't have. If you put pipe characters in your text, the converter will automatically create separate nodes out of them. For example:

"This is one line. | This is another line. | This is a third line."

You can also optionally put pipes in your sequences to split them along the same lines.

BTW, Dialogue System v1.7.0 is now available on the Pixel Crushers customer download site with a host of new improvements to the articy converter, including support for nested dialogues, voiceover plugin, localization plugin, and finally a progress bar so you'll know what it's doing as it processes large articy projects. It passed all beta testers' checks, but since so many changes were made to the articy converter you might want to give it a double-check yourself with your own articy project before fully switching over.

A release notice for 1.7.0 will be issued later today. (I'm going to be out of the office for a few hours, but I'll post it when I get back.)
