Video Tutorial Results

Hello. I'm not sure what I might be doing wrong but the quest I create requires that I do the quest twice. Both quests appear in the window. What am I doing wrong?

So I am offered both quests at once. I'm not sure how it's supposed to work but I can accept both at once, or do one than the other.

Thanks

Hi,

If you're following the video tutorials for the first time, I recommend creating the same quests as the video tutorials.

After that, you can make your own quests. Based on your screenshots, it looks like you'll want to make one quest with multiple quest nodes, something like this:

I am following the video tutorial to the step, just using my own words.

At the end of video tutorial two it looks like you drag one quest over the other to replace it. So does that mean there are two quests? Or should there be one quest running? At one point we duplicate the quests. I am confused.

Hi,

From the beginning of the video through 06:00, the tutorial shows you how to make a basic explore quest. This quest ends when you've entered the mysterious circle. This quest is named exploreCircle.

At 06:00, the tutorial makes a copy of that quest to which we can add another step: return to the quest giver. This quest is named exploreCircleAndReturn.

At 09:30, we put exploreCircleAndReturn in the quest giver's Quests list in place of the original exploreCircle quest.

There's no need to put both quests (exploreCircle and exploreCircleAndReturn) in the quest giver's Quests list. The exploreCircleAndReturn is like the "new and improved" version of the quest. You could even delete the original exploreCircle quest if you want to clean things up.
