Hi Tony !
We've been having a blast using the Dialogue System. Having previously worked with many similar systems, I must say yours turns usually difficult tasks into really easy ones. Props !
Now, we can't manage to find a way to organize conversations in a folder structure. Is that a feature you would consider adding? Is there a way to manage conversations without having to create new databases? For the record, we are creating dialogues directly in the Dialogue Editor. I've read through the forum and manual, but didn't find anything specifically about that.
Thanks !
Dave
Create folder structure within the Dialogue System
Re: Create folder structure within the Dialogue System
Hi Dave,
Use forward slashes in your conversation titles.
Here's an example in which the conversation title is "Characters/Leon/Scrap Sea/Let Me Out!":
Note: Dialogue System Triggers reference conversations by title. This makes life easier for people who are writing in external editors. However, if you change a title, you'll need to update the Dialogue System Trigger.
Note 2: If you want to rename a variable, quest, or actor, you can use the Asset Renamer tool to rename it across all databases, scenes, prefabs, etc. The Asset Rename doesn't rename conversation titles, though.
