[Feature Request] Blueprint/Bolt style comment box

Post by digiwombat »

I'M BACK!

So as I'm getting into some logic heavy/multiple part conversations, I'm finding it would be really very useful to have Bolt and UE4 Blueprint style comment boxes to put around and visually notate what's going on in a given chunk of a conversation. I already move between conversations but some of those conversations are basically logic switch conversations to get me to the right conversation or second-visit conversations and it'd be nice to be able to tell them apart/what they do quickly.

Here's an example from those each of those systems to show what I mean:

UE4 Blueprints: https://i.imgur.com/fSArKA7.jpg

Probably be a little bit of work (Draw a rect, maybe allow color selection, and a little text label in its top corner) but I think it's a pretty nice feature with a lot of utility for larger conversations/projects.

That would be handy to add. It won't make it into 2.2.10, but I'll look into it for a future version.

Not sure if this counts as necroing, but I wanted to see if there was any movement on this one.

It'd be very, very valuable for my conversations as they are written in a way that would benefit strongly from notation and visual outlining.

lol, a slooow hero. I'll get 2.3 done eventually! It's a big rewrite, but I think it will result in some nice improvements, especially performance improvements for very large databases.

Hello, sorry for necroposting

Is this something that was added in the end?

Oh that sounds great! Unfortunately it's not working for me at all :(

My DS version is 2.216, is there something that could cause this shortcut to not work in my project?
Thanks
