Hi Tony! Hope you are doing well!

My writer just asked me if it was possible to add emoticons in the dialogues using this system...
(I havent looked into it at all yet as I wont have time for a couple of days)
But decided to come here and see if anyone did it before...

I did a global advanced search and was not able to find any references to it...

So decided to ask ;)

Is it possible to have emoticons in the text in dialogue system?

As you can see, a small icon can really change the way a sentence is perceived ;) hehe...

Thank you for your time always and for your amazing program!

Hi,

Yes, if you enable TextMesh Pro Support. TextMesh Pro supports all kinds of neat extras such as inline sprites (e.g., emoticons), animated text, etc.

Technically you can use the <quad> rich text code in UI Text, but it's a major hassle. TextMesh Pro is free, and natively supported in the Dialogue System, so it's the best way to add emoticons.
