Closing the quest log

I'm currently customizing the quest log and would like to close it with a button placed outside the Main Panel.

When the button is inside the panel and I click it, the quest log closes.

However, when it's dragged outside the hierarchy (right under the main prefab, above Main Panel), it doesn't work anymore. It doesn't even light up on hover. How come?

If it's above the Main Panel in the Hierarchy, it's possible that the Main Panel is blocking mouse input, maybe with an image that's transparent so you can't see it. Try moving it below the Main Panel so it's on top, or reduce the size of the Main Panel.

Ah, that was easy. I just had to drag it all the way down in the Main Panel hierarchy.
