Hi,

At the end of conversation, the empty UI box doesn't go away immediately and lingers for about 8 seconds on screen. How can I get rid of it immediately at the end of conversation?

Try clearing the dialogue UI's Dialogue > Animation Transitions > Hide Trigger field.

I bet if you ran a stopwatch it would be exactly 10 seconds, which is the timeout safeguard for the dialogue panel's Show and Hide animations. It's probably trying to run a Hide animation but the panel's animator is never entering a new animation state. By clearing the Hide Trigger field, the dialogue UI will deactivate the panel immediately instead of trying to run an animation.
