Yup, it works just with adding the symbol. After that, I load the savegame and it evaluates the SimStatus of that node (and other) without errors. So it looks like some problem in reading, not writing, the save files, maybe.
I'm releasing in a couple of days, but I don't see much problem with the additional loading time if the whole thing works. So don't be in a hurry to investigate/fix this issue.

Right, I've reinstalled the patch, got the SimStatus value hovering again, and tested the thing.
I've tested both with SAFE_SIMSTATUS and without, and the only instance where it's failing is when the symbol is not present in the Player settings, and the savegame I'm loading didn't have the nodes DS is evaluating already created at save time.
So, I'll continue using the symbol for now.

Got it. I'll continue to investigate. If I can't get to the bottom of it, I may need to ask you for a copy of the project. But let's leave that as a last resort.
