That's correct. If you've configured a dialogue UI panel to set a Show or Hide animation trigger parameter, when the Dialogue System sets the trigger parameter it will wait until the animator state changes and then finishes the animation, or it will time out after 10 seconds under the assumption that there's a configuration issue with the animator. This way it won't hang the game waiting for an animation that will never play.
