When the subtitle panel triggers the Show animation, it monitors the animator to know when the animation is done.

I'll send you an email, I made a new project and it behaves the same way. I must be missing some kind of configuration.

I replied to your email. I'm copying the info here, too.
In the example scene, the subtitle panel itself doesn't have an Animator, so it doesn't play a Show animation. The dialogue UI's Dialogue Panel has an Animator, but it runs separately from the subtitle panel.
The typewriter only waits for the subtitle panel's animation. I emailed you an edited scene in which I added an Animator and CanvasGroup to the subtitle panel. This makes the typewriter wait.
