Hi Tony,
I have two questions.
1)I want different actors to speak in different speed, like an old man would drag when he talks, a teenage girl might speak really fast. Their speaking speed is like their trait.
2) Sometime in a conversation, I want the subtitle speed to change for a line or two. For example, two characters are talking casually, then they realized their location is on fire. Their next lines like "Come on, we need to run!!!" should run significantly faster compared to the other lines.
What are the best practices to achieve these two goals?

Re: Different subtitle speed for different actors
For (1), please see my reply in your other thread. (Use a different subtitle panel with different typewriter effect.)
For (2), you can do the same (use a different subtitle panel) or you can adjust the typewriter speed through scripting. It's much simpler to use a different subtitle panel. But if you want to have even more control -- for example, to speed up the typewriter halfway through the typing -- see this post, which links to this post.
