Invector with quest machine and dialogue system

Post by wendy3112 »

Hi, I was wondering if you are using quest machine with invector and also using dialogue system would you have to set up the dialogue system integration like what the manual says or can you skip parts of the setup that quest machine is better off doing.

You can certainly skip parts such as showing the Dialogue System's quest log window since Quest Machine has its own quest journal window. Here are some things that you can skip:
  • Dialogue System quest log window and quest tracker HUD: Both added by the Dialogue Manager's Instantiate Prefabs component, but you can remove them from the Prefabs list).
  • Selector/ProximitySelector: You'll probably prefer to use Invector's interaction system instead to make everything consistent.
  • Save System: If it's already set up on the Quest Machine GameObject.
Do set up the Quest Machine / Dialogue System integration, though. This will allow Quest Machine quests to show Dialogue System conversations.

Thank you for a real quick reply. So do you still add the dialogue invector bridge or there isn't any need for that since I'm using quest machine?
