DialogueActor Subtitle Panel Number limit?
DialogueActor Subtitle Panel Number limit?
I'm using this to create an interactive comic book of sorts - so I'm using a lot of different panel positions.
So far so good, except...
I have 18 panels assigned to my StandardDialogueUI ConversationUIElements.
However, only 16 of those are available as Subtitle Panel Numbers on my DialogueActors. (stops at "Panel 15")
No problem, I figured I could use the Custom option and just drag and drop my Panels into the StandardDialogueUI inspector. However, I can't get any custom panels to work. It ONLY works if I assign the Panel Number, which I can't do for some panels, because the drop down only goes to Panel 15.
Am I doing something wrong?

Sorry for the double image post. Won't let me delete that second image for some reason.

Running DS version 2.1.0 and Unity 2018.1.0f
Re: DialogueActor Subtitle Panel Number limit?
Bill Gates is apocryphally attributed with saying that no personal computer would ever need more than 640KB RAM.
I hadn't anticipated that a game would have more than 16 subtitle panels.
In the next update, I'll bump this up to 32.
However, custom panels should work, too. Make sure the GameObject with that Dialogue Actor is assigned as the conversation participant that's speaking the line.

Re: DialogueActor Subtitle Panel Number limit?
OK, thanks for the quick response!
I'll take another look at the Custom option, but so far the only difference I can find is that if I use the drop down panel to assign it a panel number, existing dialogue bubbles work when the lines are spoken, but if I drag that same panel into the inspector and assign it as custom, the dialogue bubble doesn't appear for that line of dialogue.
Strangely, the conversation will continue between NPCs, but any who are set using the custom option just don't appear. Sequences for those lines DO work, it just never displays the bubble.

Do you think the next update will hit before Feb 15th? If so, I'll backburner any workarounds and just wait for the 32 panel update.
Re: DialogueActor Subtitle Panel Number limit?
I'll try to get a patch to you by the middle of next week, if not sooner.
