I set a quest to Abandonable, and the first time I abandon it, this is what the quest journal looks like:
I'll try to explain what's going on. The first time I abandon, the abandon button just says Abandon. The second time (in the same runtime), the button text is the name of the quest. The popup for abandoning the quest doesn't actually give the quest name.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong to get the button to stay the same name, and I don't understand why it's not putting the quest name (or the display name, which is also filled out) in the abandon panel.

Are you using an unmodified version of the Basic Standard UI Quest Log Window? I just noticed that the Abandon Quest Panel > Abandon Quest Title Text field got unassigned. You can reassign it like this:
